Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, downloading, or using MzansiAcademyKids (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are creating an account on behalf of a child, you confirm you are that child's parent or legal guardian.
2. Who Can Use MzansiAcademyKids
The App is intended for use by a parent or guardian on behalf of a child aged 2–10. Guardian accounts must be created by an adult. Children do not create their own accounts or provide their own registration information.
3. Subscriptions & Billing
New accounts receive a 15-day free trial with no card required. After the trial, continued access requires a Pro subscription at R60/month or R600/year (pricing in South African Rand, subject to change with notice). Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
4. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from within the app. Cancelling stops future renewal — your access continues until the end of the period you've already paid for. We do not provide partial refunds for unused time within a billing period except where required by law.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the App: no attempting to circumvent subscription gating, no scraping or reverse-engineering the service, no uploading content that is unlawful, abusive, or infringes another party's rights, and no using the AI Learning Coach or any part of the App for a purpose other than your own family's learning.
6. Content & AI-Generated Feedback
Some feedback and lesson content is generated by AI language models. We apply content-safety review before content is served, and the AI Learning Coach uses guided, age-appropriate teaching rules and a keyword safety filter — but AI-generated output is not manually reviewed message-by-message before it reaches your child. Please review your child's conversation history (available to guardians in-app) and contact us with any concerns.
7. Zero Advertising
MzansiAcademyKids does not, and will not, display third-party advertisements or use advertising SDKs. This is a permanent product commitment, not a promotional claim subject to change without notice to you.
8. Intellectual Property
The App, its content, design, and branding are the property of MzansiAcademyKids and its creators. You're granted a personal, non-transferable licence to use the App for your family's own learning — nothing here transfers ownership of our content or software to you.
9. Termination
You may delete your account at any time, which permanently removes your guardian and child data per our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a safety risk to children using the App.
10. Disclaimer & Liability
MzansiAcademyKids is an educational supplement, not a substitute for formal schooling, medical advice, or professional child development assessment. The App is provided "as is"; to the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the App.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email. Continued use of the App after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Questions? Contact info@mzansiacademykids.app.
